Boehringer Ingelheim: OFEV
unbranded campaign concepts
As a Senior Creative at Wunderman Thompson Health, I was frequently brought into pitches and client assignments when a heavy conceptual lift was required… for good copy and bad comic relief in equal measure.
In this case, Boehringer Ingelheim (BI), asked for an unbranded disease education campaign in support of OFEV, a drug for idopathic pulmonary fibrosis, or IPF.
IPF tends to strike older adults with symptoms such as persistent, hacking cough and fatigue. But patients and doctors alike understandably mistake these symptoms as the trappings, either of age or of comorbidities such as diabetes and heart disease. To raise awareness about other potential causes, I developed a campaign concept to encourage patients to ask themselves and their doctors…what if it’s something more serious?
